Things you should never do on your work computer

Sometimes it happens that we treat the computer at work as if it were ours, for example, we downloaded applications like Spotify, reviewed Facebook or printed personal documents from there.
In fact, two-thirds of information technology experts think that cyberattacks could have originated for this reason.
Professionals advise not to do the following.
  1. Do not keep personal passwords on the work computer. Many companies have a clause on storing passwords and using the Internet. What they say is that systems are not private and belong to the company. They reserve the right to examine and monitor the use of electronic mail and other communication devices. In fact, they monitor the use of the Internet.
  2. Take care of the jokes. Business chat rooms are a tool that helps you collaborate better. At times, it might seem easy to share a joke that we found funny in the media we communicate at work. Be careful, because this type of messages always stay logged and the administrator has access to "private" conversations.
  3. Do not connect to public Wi-Fi. In the event that confidential or sensitive information is handled, as far as possible, public Wi-Fi should be avoided because they are a point where information can be stolen.
  4. Avoid remote access to the computer. Remote computer access avoids having to go to the office to work. The software facilitates everything, so you can virtually stay on the work team without it. However, this use must be personal and should not be shared with co-workers, we do not know what they can do with our account.
  5. Do not store personal information. It seems easy to store photos or other personal documents on the work computer. But it is important to remember that this device belongs to the company. If it happens that the business closes and they get rid of all the computers, it is not known where the computers will go.
"However, cybersecurity experts warn that it is very risky to take personal life to the professional. This situation can affect the company for which we work "said the president of Grupo Denim Salomón Juan Marcos Villarreal .
